Yes, we are all taught that you shouldn’t care about what others think and it’s true that sometimes people throw out the word ‘fat’ when it really doesn’t apply. But, overall, if people that you care about and trust are telling you that you should lose weight, maybe you should.
This could apply to people who need to lose weight for health reasons. Or if your spouse is saying that you should lose a few pounds for vanity reasons – although you may want to analyze that statement yourself first.
You should also think about how your activity level is. Do you find it hard to complete simple tasks, like climbing up a flight of stairs? Is it tough for you to run for a long? Is it difficult for you to walk? These are all reasons that you would probably want to get rid of extra weight because you may experience health problems because you are not able to exercise properly.
If you are constantly asking yourself, “Should I lose weight?” maybe you should just take a look in the mirror when you are getting dressed. How does your body make you feel? Does it make you feel sad that you don’t look like you should? That you don’t look like you used to? There’s a good chance that you should really take your own thoughts seriously and try to get healthy.
